Wedding Party

Rachel Wright-Colón
Rachel Wright-Colón - Maid of Honor
Rachel met Sarah the first day of freshman year in choir. Rachel and Sarah made sweet sweet eye contact from across the room.. from that day forward they made the conscious effort to be present in their day to day lives. From morning coffee runs before school, endless sleepovers and sneaking out of the house, Rachel is Sarahs best friend and soul sister. Now after two decades of memories, and debauchery they look forward to raising their families together and bedazzling their canes together.
Danielle Buffo
Danielle Buffo - Bridesmaid
Sarah and Danielle met celebrating Danielle’s bday in 2020 (Feb 15th to be exact) at Hot Chick. A few too many drinks, some crazy dancing, and split pants brought these two together and created a beautiful forever friendship. Sarah and I share a love of football, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers and have spent Sunday funday’s up at Harold’s Coral in Cave creek or curled up on the couch yelling at the TV! With both being from the North, our taste for authentic Italian food and desserts is unmatched! Sarah and I have held each other up and have always been sounding boards for each other. Since the moment we met, we knew we’d be in each others lives for the long haul. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us! I love you ❤️

Over 15 years ago, fate took Sarah to a place off the beaten path....Ohio. To be more exact, Show Choir Camps of America which is held in the incredibly small town of Tiffin. During one of the first practices at the camp Sarah was seated next to Megan. The two quickly found themselves talking (even though they should have been focused on learning the music) and became fast friends as the week long camp progressed. Sarah and Megan spent the next two years staying in tight contact and excitedly waiting for the week that they would get to spend together during the summer. Eventually, the ladies became too old to attend the camp but they were not too senile to stay in touch. Over the years, Sarah and Megan have taken turns visiting each other and have gotten to know each other's friends and families.Megan admires Sarah's dedication to the people that she cares about and appreciates how Sarah can bring out anyone's love for life!

Kayla Spencer - Bridesmaid
Sarah and I first met at Penrose Academy, at Cosmetology school. Her and I both fell in love with doing hair and we both worked in the bar industry as well. We hung out with the same crowd, although we never grew a friendship as strong as the one we have today. When I met Danielle, the owner of Scottsdale Salon Studios at f45, she had re-connected Sarah and I at the salon that she currently works at. Shortly after that I called Sarah, with joy and all the questions on how we could collaborate and work next to one another. Needless to say, her and I are now teammates in the salon industry. We work together so well. She has motivated me to never give up. Even when times get rough, she is ALWAYS there to pick my spirits back up. I can’t imagine life without her. She is such a blessing to myself and so many others. When I got to know her Fiance Steve and saw what amazing influences and people they are, I could not help but to look at them as family. Cheers to the REAL ones ! I love you both so much ! Love always, You soul sister and Dolly Pawton

Oh man where to being… When Sarah asked me to write this, I wasn’t sure where to even begin. How does one sum up 16 years of friendship, relationships, debauchery, Thanksgivings spent together, and let’s not forget raiding Debbie’s leftovers?! At this point you, Steve and your family are my family, as I think I weaseled my way into your family when I stayed in your parent’s guest room more frequently than my own parent’s home throughout high school and college. I still remember the first time I was invited over to one of Sarah’s famous high school parties, a plus one from our good old friend Cameron Brown. As we rolled up to Sarah’s Palace, as I called it back then, I was met at the door by Dennis, who greeted us wearing a long sleeve polo shirt, luscious hair, some skinny jeans, and a pair of vans sneakers, looking like the coolest rockstar I’ve ever seen. “Not driving tonight boys right?” he says. “No of course not”, I answered “I walked here from my parent’s house down the street.” And he graciously allowed us into their home for a night I would never forget. I can remember that night, well over 16 years ago now, like it was yesterday. How packed it was, and how well they had decorated the entire home, you could tell they had spent all day preparing. But what I’ll never forget is how welcomed Sarah, Debbie, and Dennis made me feel. As I sat in the backyard smoking Marbolo reds, this adorable woman comes up and strikes a conversation with me, asking me if I’m having fun and how I know Sarah. Low and behold I end up spending the whole party, and many parties after, talking to Sarah’s mom Debbie, learning about her book she was writing (now completed!), their family history, and her trying to feed me all the delicious food she had made. It was at that point I knew I had to befriend Sarah to gain access to Debbie and her superhero baking abilities. Fast forward to the end of high school, Sarah and I had become inseparable. Ripping Temple Bar for wings and UFC fight night, or Picasso’s for salad and whatever healthy diet fad Sarah was into that week. I knew I didn’t have just another friend, but I had a sister for the rest of my life. As we both went through our own lives, Sarah doing cosmetology, and myself at ASU, living in the moments, and having separate experiences, we always came together to laugh about them, and myself of course getting a haircut from Sarah, the only woman who will ever touch my hair (even when it upset my cosmetologist girlfriends at the time, who thought they could cut my hair). Some of the best memories I have are standing out on your little patio. Eventually after many years away, and a random trip back to Arizona, I got a call to come visit Sarah, and meet Steve at their new old home. I called her and she assured me I was in the right spot but told me to “just go in through the garage”. As I walked through the house waiting for someone to round the corner with a gun, out comes Steve, one of the nicest and most welcoming humans I’ve had the pleasure to get to know. “Hey man it’s amazing to meet me you, you’re family to Sarah, so you’re family to me.” It was after that evening, and a couple boating trips later I knew these two humans were made for each other and I couldn’t be happier that they both found each other. Sarah, your wonderful smile lightens up any room you’re in, and I’m lucky to call you my family after all these years. We’ll work on the whole flat earth thing, but I still love you. I am beyond excited to stand on your side for your big day, and can’t wait to continue watching you and Steve live your best lives. I love you guys!
Katy Imondi
Katy Imondi - Bridesmaid
-THE MEETING- Once upon a time, Katy was finishing up one of her long work days as a hairstylist, when a long time friend and fellow stylist walked into her studio to say goodbye for the night. While Katy was cleaning and packing up to head home, she began talking her friend’s ear off about the latest “conspiracy theory” and the topic became too much for her friend to handle, it was painfully obvious, haha. Side note: Katy is obsessed with researching, rabbit holes and finding the real truth about literally everything and once she gets started, good luck trying to stop her!! Back to the story: By this point, Katy’s friend had enough and cut her off and blasted “WAIT! WAIT! KATY! HOLD ON!!”! Katy started laughing and apologizing… “I’m sorry!, was I going too far? Was it becoming too much for you, again? Hahaha my bad!!” Friend- “Have you met Sarah, that works here?!” Me- “I don’t think so! Is she one of the pretty girls that works in the back of the building?” Friend- “She’s the brunette! I think she’s friends with the French guy!?” Me- “Yes, I know who you’re talking about but I haven’t met her, it’s like a different area code once you go past the break room door..” 😂😂 Friend- “Well, you two REALLY NEED to meet!!” Me- “Okay, wierdo! Haha….Why?” Friend- “BECAUSE YOU ARE BOTH THE SAME PERSON BUT IN DIFFERENT BODIES!!!!!” Me- “WAIT. Like same person…as in…?” My friend nods with such a creepy look but satisfying smile and I ran so fast past her, (as if I was on fire!) towards the back of the building, that I just yelled loudly to my friend from down the hallway: “byyyyyeeee, muahahaha!!!!!”. I know my friend didn’t mind, if anything, she was elated that she had possibly handed me over to someone else that could handle hearing my deep discoveries and rabbit hole researches! And to her success, she absolutely nailed it!! I did! (Watery eyes forming into happy tears) All I could think as I was skipping down the hallway towards THIS girl, named Sarah, was: “I really hope my friend is right and I can find someone JUST like ME….and my way of thinking!” I noticed through a closed door that the light was on and there were a total of 3 people in the studio that Sarah worked in, at the time. It was Sarah and her friend working on a clients hair and I decided to just crack the door open…. Me- “I’m sorry to interrupt you guys….my friend just told me I HAD to come officially meet you, Sarah!?” “She said that you and I are the. same. person. but in different bodies….!…?” Sarah- “Oh!, well I was just talking about how JFK Jr. definitely faked his death and he’s still alive!” I GASPED!! Then, I melted into this comfortable but shaky state…. I could not believe what I just witnessed was actually something real! Knowing full well now and knowing at least one other person, (which would be Steve!!) who could totally understand the resonating experience of emotions that overcame me, when I met Sarah for the first time… ….I just HIT THE LOTTERY!!!!!! 🥰🥹 Ok, hold on... I’ve never literally won the lottery so I don’t know what it feels like, haha! BUT the only way I could describe the overwhelming feeling I had was: Imagine with me now… …your body was hit by God’s perfectly-timed hand, BOOM! Your immediate, uncontrollable, reaction is to ugly-cry, vomit and poop all at the same time!!! Now. Don’t tell me that’s not the exact feeling of a real-time, in the moment, winner of the freakin lottery!? Right?! Anyways, the night I met Sarah, I knew I wasn’t leaving the workplace for AWHILE!! :) So much so, that I remember texting my husband to tell him I don’t know when I’ll be home. Haha! At this point, there was no stopping Sarah and I from the massive wave of information pouring into our brains, unzipping our conservative lips and letting it all out! I swear, we both knew every rabbit hole topic, that when it was brought up, we started finishing eachother’s sentences!! It was an instant friendship. I had found my soul sister, my fellow patriot and the easiest, definitive, life-long friend I’ve ever made so instantly… As if we skipped so many levels of a typical, brand new, friendship that starts out in the beginning… We went straight to that feeling like you’ve known each other forever! God gifted us with His perfect plan of: When, How, Where and Why. And we both recognized that right away! He knew it was the right time. He knew our desire to not feel alone or fully understood. He knew we were supposed to be a door-knock away. And He knew, we would feel the confirmation of His hand on the entire reason behind: -The Meeting-

I met sarah when i first moved to Scottsdale, AZ by what we always say was Devine intervention by God himself. I, a former platinum blonde, was desperately needing an emergency root touch up last minute (per usual). By the grace of God the girl I called to make an appointments with was unavailable but she did say she had another girl named Sarah available who was amazing, but to make sure and rebook with her for my next appt. It only took that one appt for me to never call the other girl again—Sarah was stuck with me for life. From the moment i stepped into the Suite Sarahnade salon I was greeted by the cutest and sweetest soul ever and she introduced herself while hugging me—my Midwest born heart almost burst. Over the course of the appt it was scary how similar we both were and where our values aligned. I felt like we’d known each other for years already. After only a few appointments Sarah told me she was making it her duty to show me around Scottsdale, besides work really i didn’t know anyone or anything about Scottsdale really still yet. That is who Sarah is though, she is warm, welcoming and always going out of her way for others to make them comfortable. We started spending most times together at home with her dogs drinking wine in our pj’s versus the outside world, and they were the best of times. Over the last few years, despite how truly awful we both are at making plans to hangout with each other, she has ALWAYS been there any time i need her as she does for so many. She’s truly an angel on earth and I am so thankful our paths crossed that day. It’s crazy to think of where we are now and how I get to stand with her on one of the most important days of her life.

Hello, I met Steve when we were kids at young ripe age of 15. We were at our buddies house and sitting in the backyard shooting the... Steve had just got back from military school. He was telling us how he was never going back. After that day Steve and I were two peas in a pod. I would show up to his house before he was even home from school to chill with Sue and wait til the legend himself arrived. Steve and I are besties and talk on the phone minimum 4 times a day. I refuse to speak to him unless he FaceTimes me. Matt Loves Steve
Christopher Harrison
Christopher Harrison - Groomsmen
I met Steve as a baby. The Harrison family moved from Connecticut when the Sarli’s moved from New Jersey. My mother was pregnant with Jacob while Susan was pregnant with Sarah. Susan was living with her mother (Steve’s grandmother) and my mother was living with her mother (my grandmother). Fate would have it that while they were getting their house built and we were getting ours built, our two pregnant mothers were neighbors talking over their mother’s wall. Susan from Steve’s grandmas, and Shelley from my grandmas. Very quickly they hit it off and soon our families became intertwined. The rest is history.

Collin and Steve had met when they were little lads in their ‘gaming’ days. Speaking I’ll to each other over the microphone, had eventually led to them meeting in person. For many years they built lasting memories together. Many years living together and I, Collin am the key component to the introduction of Stephen and Sarah. You’re welcome!

Steve & I met shortly after I went off to my first year of college. We met through mutual friends from high school but quickly became close. My parents had recently divorced & Steve was the quintessential friend for helping me enjoy the simple things in life at that time. Over the years we’ve shared so many laughs and have become brothers. I’ll always be thankful for Steve coming into my life.
Louie Wilkins
Louie Wilkins - Groomsmen
I first met Steve in high school. We had mutual friends and all started hanging out slowly but surely it became an almost everyday thing. Through time Steve and I became very close Whether it was hanging out at Suey’s house or going out to eat eventually turning 21 and would be out at sandbar most days lol. Steve and I really clicked talking about just our everyday life views and how similar we thought. He has a huge heart and always cared about the people around him and so did I. Quickly it just became an every day thing to at least talk with Steve on the phone and check in on each other if we weren’t hanging out. Over the last 12 years of knowing Steve and becoming close he is the best friend anyone could ask for, he’s always there when you need him most, you can talk to him about everything without feeling judged and ultimately just the laughs and jokes you have being around him. He is a true friend and the best person I know!!!

Being friends with Billy, he knew I was handy and could hang TVs easily. His friend Steve had just bought a house and needed several TVs installed. After I met an actual pig living in the house I realized these are my type of eccentric people. I was immediately treated with kindness and respect which easily turned into of the most genuine friendships I have made over time.

I met Steve my freshman year of high school in 2011. Yac invited me over to Sue’s house and in what seemed like no time at all, Steve and Sue were both treating me like family. I learned quickly that Steve had a heart like nobody I’d ever met before and was the kind of friend everyone looks for in life. Since then we’ve created many unforgettable memories and created a friendship that means the world to me. I would do anything for Steve and I know he’d do the same for me. I’m beyond appreciative to have Steve in my life and can’t wait to see what the future holds for us.

Sarah has known her niece Celeste since she was born, their bond beginning at a family Thanksgiving when Celeste was just a baby. As Celeste has grown, their relationship has blossomed into something truly special. One of Celeste's favorite things is when Aunt Sarah styles her hair, using colorful extensions in Celeste's favorite shades. Celeste has also grown close to her soon-to-be Uncle Steve. She loves visiting their house, where Steve always has a fun game ready or a sweet treat to share. Whether it's helping Sarah with her hair or playing with Steve or their cheerful doggos, Celeste's time with the couple is filled with laughter and love. Celeste's sweet nature and bright smile light up any room she enters. Sarah and Steve are overjoyed to have their beloved niece play such an important part in their special day.

I am so excited for my first airplane trip to Arizona. It’s the same trip my cousin Sarah made when she was the flower girl for my mother’s wedding. My mom told me that Sarah is walking down the aisle wearing my great grandmother’s wedding crown. Sarah called her Grammy Sunshine. Someday in the future I will get to wear grammy sunshine’s crown too. It’s tradition. I can’t wait to see it and celebrate both Sarah and Steve on Grammy Sunshine’s birthday.
